At the University of North Florida, Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, we invite you to be part of the advocacy to facilitate well-being in our community.  

Join us for a virtual information session on the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC). Our UNF CMHC program is a 2-yr, full time, 60-credit, face-to-face, and cohort program, that is accredited by CACREP. With a renowned faculty, our mission is to train excellent clinical mental health counselors who are culturally competent, community-engaged, ethical, and service-driven. To reach this goal, we provide individualized mentorship, intentional support, and diverse transformative learning opportunities to train clinicians as scholar-practitioners, fierce advocates, and thoughtful leaders in the mental health field.  

Led by Program Director Dr. Tes Tuason, the session will cover: 

  • Program highlights - why the UNF CMHC program is superior to others in the community 

  • The admissions and application processes and timelines, and tips for an improved application, due once a year, March 1st 

  • CMHC program outcomes 

Who should attend? 

Upper-level undergraduates or professionals in: 

  • Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Education, Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, etc. 

  • We have no pre-requisites, so anyone with the intention of being a mental health counselor with the purpose of supporting individuals’ well-being, promoting mental health, and enhancing lives.  

  • Come ready to learn, ask questions, and envision what’s next.
